This will always be at the top of my page. I can add pictures or special colors to make it unique for me. To change it, I just log in to WordPress and click “Pages” on the left, then edit the page with my name.
If I want to add a blog post, I just click “Posts” on the left and add a new one. I should make sure to click the category on the right with my name on it so it will show up on my page.
I should really update this as soon as I can so people know who I am.
The golden birthday! 10+10+10=30, 0010 1010=42 in binary. Anyways, here’s some pictures from my golden birthday taken by Richard Friberg:
Here’s a new feature for the site. It’s a flickr gallery in your blog post. When you are writing your new post in the WordPress editor you will see this icon right above your text.
Click on it to bring up the Flickr loader window. You will also need to have Flickr open to your account page with the list of all the sets you have. Then fill in the blanks in that pop up window (hint: the set name is the long line of numbers you see in the URL when you click on a set) and you should have your Flickr set as a gallery in your post in no time! Check out the example below:
Here’s a new feature to the site. If you are in the WordPress login, click on “Plugins” in the left side menu. Then click on Facebook Photo Fetcher > Settings. From there you can log in to Facebook by clicking the button “Change Facebook Account” and following the directions (hint: you have to click this button a couple more times) you will get a list of Facebook albums to choose from. Then add the line: ”<!–FBGallery 123456789 –><!–/FBGallery–>” like it shows, in your blog post. If you get it all right, you will have your Facebook thumbnail gallery in your post like the one below. Good luck!

I don’t know if anyone noticed the verse of the day down at the bottom of the website. I thought a cool idea would be to be able to click it if you really like it and have it show up permanently as a post by you. I’m not sure how I would do that just yet, but here is one from today that I really liked:
Make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)
Well it’s been two weeks since I started doing maintenance at OCWD and it’s been very fun. You name it, we fix it. I hardly need any extra exercise outside of work because I get my heart rate up at least 2-3 hours a day along with tons of walking. I have to keep shoving food in my face as well to keep my energy up which is nice. Compare that to driving by a 7-11 in my old truck and thinking, “Hmmm… I’m bored…. should I eat some junk food?”
The other day, they rented a man-lifter to fix some hard to reach lights that were two stories high. In the morning when everyone was standing around they said, “Hey new guy, get up in there!” I climbed in, switched it on and was lifted 30 feet in the air. I was a good 5 feet over the two story maintenance building. It was pretty sturdy at the bottom, but the boom (retracting pole that lifts you up) was swaying and it was kinda scary. Now I know how Kevin must feel all the time.
Anyways, that’s it for now.
